DIGITAL PLACEMAKING

Digital Placemaking – the utilisation of digital technologies in public space to enhance culture and community. At its best, it is a vehicle for promoting public participation and the democratisation of public space. Digital placemaking is a compelling approach to making all kinds of spaces more captivating for audiences and visitors.

My own journey in this space stemmed from my time managing Federation Square’s iconic Big Screen program, and commissioning its $6m evolution into the Digital Façade: https://fedsquare.com/venues/digital-facade, in collaboration with Ramus Media Architecture: www.ramus.com.au

I have also collaborated over many years with Urban Screen Productions, Australia’s most innovative and prolific Digital Place-makers.
